Background

After seven months building Pulse’s brand, website, and GTM engine from scratch, it was time to introduce the company to the market.

As Director of Marketing (via Marketing by Maya), I rejected the standard tech playbook. Pulse is a SaaS production database optimization tool entering a competitive space—first impressions matter. I designed and produced a premium launch event from scratch, treating it with the meticulous detail of a high-end private celebration. Think: mini-wedding, but for market entry.

The goal wasn't just an announcement; it was to curate an exclusive experience. By bringing 120 Tier-1 customers, strategic partners, and tech leaders into one room, we generated undeniable momentum and major social buzz. (To see how we built the foundational full product launch behind this, check out the full Pulse Product Launch case study).

The Production

Guest Curation

I curated and managed an exclusive guest list of 120 Tier-1 enterprise customers, strategic partners, high-value prospects, and prominent tech ecosystem leaders. Every invitation was intentional — the goal was to fill the room with people whose presence would signal to each other that Pulse was worth paying attention to.

Programming - A tight, high-impact evening agenda

I structured the full run-of-show and coordinated speaker preparation end to end. The evening moved from a CEO vision keynote directly into a live testimonial from an early enterprise customer — a deliberate sequencing that grounded Pulse's ambition in real, existing credibility. And then the rest of the evening was focused on good music, good food and good conversations.

Production & Experience - Every detail, managed

I sourced and managed all vendors and touchpoints to deliver a premium, cohesive brand experience. To maximize budget and ROI, major branding assets were strategically designed for long-term reuse at future events.

  • Premium Hospitality: High-end catering, open bar, and ultra-premium swag giveaways.

  • Immersive Branding: Custom signage, roll-up banners, and Pulse’s visual identity integrated across all physical touchpoints.

  • Social & Engagement: Professional photography and custom photo-magnets providing personalized, branded takeaways on the spot.

The Follow-Up

A great event without great follow-up is a missed opportunity. I'm a firm believer that field marketing isn't just about producing memorable moments — it's a holistic lead generation strategy, and the work doesn't stop when the guests go home.

I had follow-up emails ready to go immediately after the event, striking while the experience was still fresh. Every email included photos from the evening — because people want to see themselves, and a photo is the fastest way to re-anchor the memory and the brand in one click. Each follow-up also included a free introduction to Pulse, turning a warm social moment into a concrete next step.

The Results

1. Pulse entered the market with credibility

By bringing together the region's top tech leaders, customers, and partners in one room, the event positioned Pulse as an enterprise-ready, deeply credible brand from day one — not a scrappy startup asking for attention, but a serious player worthy of it.

2. Organic social buzz across attendee networks

The premium aesthetics, personalized photo magnets, and high-energy atmosphere drove organic, word-of-mouth amplification across social media — attendees shared the experience across their own networks, extending Pulse's launch reach far beyond the 120 people in the room.

3 . Pipeline moved and partnerships deepened

The exclusive, high-trust environment gave Pulse's sales team the opportunity to deepen relationships with key prospects and solidify standing with strategic channel partners — moving target accounts further down the funnel in a single evening.
